Gold Prospectors and Micro Miners
CbJ (Cowboy Jim) and J9 (Janine) have been gold prospecting and mining in Arizona and Idaho and points in between.
Always big fans of the outdoors, we started off by taking horseback riding tours in South Mountain Arizona, the largest city park in the US encompassing close to 17,000 acres of a beautiful cross section of the Sonoran Desert.
We also fished and boated in Lake Saguaro, and then became interested in hiking and prospecting.
From there our love of Prospecting out in the desertt became are main pasttime, where we decided to join a few local clubs and learn evem more and have access to more, mining and prospeccting claims.

Our Involvement
Arizona: CbJ and J9 are active members in 5 gold clubs here in Arizona. Although we don't serve on any board, we volunteer our time doing reclamation and site cleanup, demonstrations and training, and video production for understaffed clubs.
Idaho: CbJ is Camp Host for Eagle City Park in Idaho. He assists the owners with maintenance and upkeep as well as daily administration duties. His great love is taking guests down to the creek and help them pan, dredge and otherwise recover gold.
Paydirt Bags or Drawings
Interested in gold but unable to get out to find it? One of the easiest ways is to purchase a "paydirt" bag.
Definition: A Paydirt bag is a bag filled with dirt (usually cleaned) as seeded with gold. It can also contain "Bonus" items such as crystals, semi precious gems and gemstones.
2023 Plans and Development
We are in the process of creating "FutureProspectorsofAmerica".
We are putting together an action plan to introduce gold prospecting and mining to people of all ages.
Website: Simply designed to access games and educational tools to introduce and develop interest AND knowledge in Gold Prospecting. Content will include, videos, short powerpoint presentations, open discussion, games, worksheets.
Outings: Trips where CbJ, J9 and anyone interested in learning how to pan, where to prospect, metal detect, rock hounding and more.
Vulture City: We have several education and entertaining videos planned in collaberation with Vulture City Ghost Town, including exclusive tours, restoration of the town and old equipment.
Games: We have online games in development to peak the interest of kids of all ages in prospecting and the old west.
A place to share information, bring equipment for instruction or trouble shooting, and more.
